My lab works at the intersection of Visualization, Human–AI Interaction, and Biomedical Informatics. We aim to create real-world impact by designing, evaluating, and deploying interactive data systems for clinicians, patients, biologists, software engineers, and other end users. Key research areas include:

Graduate Students
Eligibility
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Have solid prototyping and programming skills
- Have research experience or have published a paper in a related field as the main contributor
- Be interested in at least two of: Visualization, Human–AI Interaction, and Biomedical Applications
- Fulfill English Language Requirements of HKUST
Prior biomedical research experience is not required, as long as you are eager to learn.
Support
Successful candidates will receive a full scholarship. Exceptionally outstanding PhD applicants, especially those from top universities with strong GPAs, will be considered for nomination for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS).
